She Says: Wo- oh Amber is the Color of Your Energy

by Heather Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Do you know that song? I love it and was so excited when I heard it on the radio on the way to work this morning. Put me in such a mellow mood.

Today is pretty busy: work, meet up with lead teacher (tomorrow is the first day with students), back to work, run and get everything ready for tomorrow! So exciting.

Breakfast was on the go again and consisted of iced coffe, plain Chobani and flax, cantaloupe and peaches and my very first date.

I bought a lot of bars for student teaching because although I do not like to rely on bars, I think they might be a necessity in this siutation. I don’t know what the lunch situation will be like and I do not want to be a hangry student teacher. When I try a new bar I am going to try to take note of whether I liked it and how it worked at preveting hanger. My first new bar is this Cliff Nectar bar in lemon, cashew and vanilla. I’ll give a run down later.

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful day!

    I LOVE THAT 311 SONG!!! :-D

The only Clif Nectar bar that I’ve had is the Cherry-Pomegranate flavor – it was too sweet for me. I’m loyal to my Larabars :-)

Good luck with your busy day!

Mmm, dates :) I haven’t tried that kind of clif nectar bar, I’ll be interested to see how you like it!

LOL-that song made me think of getting stoned in my dorm Freshman year. Those were the days. It sucks to be a productive and responsible member of society.
Good luck with your student teaching!
How was the date? I’ve never had one either (other than in a Larabar).

Aw, that’s a great song for a mellow mood :)

I’m excited to hear what you think of that Nectar bar – and the date! I’ve never had one whole like that.

Good luck with getting everything ready for tomorrow!

I have had that bar and I think the flavor is good but not big enough for meal replacement but more of a snack!

I like those bars but they are Oh so chocolatey -I wouldn’t recommend eating one right after a hike without water. Bad, bad idea. Trust me.

You’re going to be a teacher? I have so much respect for you! I would never have the patience! What grade to you want to teach? My sister teaches kindergarten and her stories blow me out of the water!!

That’s a good meal choice! I ate my huge salad with tons of red onions, feta, etc., before teaching yesterday. Oops! I’m sure the students thought I was nasto.
Cute little date! You know what’s weird? They taste good with PB.
Bringing back the ska music with your title, huh!
Have a great rest of the week Heather!

Andrea: The date was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend.

    Christie: My thoughts zactly.

Rose: Mine was sans chocolate. Did I get ripped off?

Erica: I am student teaching in 2nd grade, but would be happy to be employed in any elementary grade.

Erin: Haha. I bet they think you’re the hot teacher. I had a feeling dates would go well with PB. Mmmm.
