She Says: Hummus for Breakfast

I woke up and really wanted some hummus, so I went with it and had a sandwich I like to eat for lunch – hummus with sliced apples on wheat bread. I always eat sandwiches open-faced when I can. More to love.

I hate wasting, so I am like a cheap old lady with my reused aluminum foil and plastic bags.

Do you ever have weird breakfast cravings?

I am always craving a typical carby breakfast in the morning. I find it so interesting that other cultures just eat “regular” food at breakfast.

Sounds interesting- what flavor of hummus was it? I like the idea of apples on sandwiches :)

I have weird cravings for vinegar. It goes on EVERYTHING- tuna, veggies, fries…

I cannot imagine deserting my peanut butter/banana combo for breakfast ever! I always wonder if one day I will be sick of it, but it’s yet to happen. More power to ya for switching things up though! :)

you know, my dad’s side and fiance’s family are from the middle east and hummus actually IS a breakfast food. On the weekends if we have people over for breakfast we usually make a table full of tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, lebne (strained yogurt), pita, boiled eggs, and fried haloumi cheese. so your lunch for breakfast is totally cool in my book :)

also. do you take all of your pictures with your iphone? do you email them to yourself first or upload directly to your site from the phone?

Rhodeygirl: My camera just broke so I have been using my iphone, which takes great pictures when the light is good and otherwise, not so much. Anyway, I can do one of two things with the iphone (1) take the pictures and upload onto my computer; (2) I have the wordpress application on my phone so when I am not near my computer I can just upload the pictures right into a post and publish it from there.

wordpress app! WHY DIDN’T I EVEN THINK TO SEE IF THERE WAS ONE?!?! I am so silly. thanks for the tip. it is amazing to see how nice the pics come out in the sunshine, and just how terrible they are when I’m in my office (no windows).
