She Says: A Little Tight on Time

Good evening. I am a little tight on time because I am finishing up some student teaching bizzz nissss. Oh yes. My last day  is the 19th, but the work for my course is due tomorrow.

Here’s a blurry view of what I’ve been doing lately. They’re kids, so they don’t need to be all up on the internet. I cannot complain one bit about teaching. Each day is more satisfying and fun than writing briefs. Oh yes.

I ran. It’s too late to join the Holiday Marathon Challenge, but you can check out all the progress of the participants.

I ate. For dinner, I had a Cedarlane’s Low Fat Beans, Rice & Cheese Style Burrito with some carrots and onions. The burritos are okay. Nothing like a burrito from a restaurant, but okay for frozen. I like to toast them and get the outside crispy and the inside warm and oozy. I like the inside a lot, but the wrap is meh. I wish it were whole wheat and had a flavor.

Cookie of The Day: Store Bought One I’d Like to Steal

I don’t have a recipe today, but a student had Immaculate Baking Co. Pumpkin Gingerlies at snack. I am sure you want to know how I got a picture. I saw she couldn’t open the bag, so I offered to cut it open for her. When I did this, I took a picture with my phone. Sneaky little teacher. Anyway,  I didn’t eat one (I’m not that sneaky), but come on Pumpkin Gingerlies – how can you go wrong? Anyone ever had them?

Also, I had many more Egg Nog Oaties. Still good, but for the sake of blogtegrity I should tell you – the next day, they lose any trace of crunch. They are soft oaties.

I haven’t figured out a way to keep cookies crunchy…there must be some way to store them that keeps them from getting soft, right?

  15. Bridget P Says:

    mmm…pumpkin gingerlies.
I’m curious about the cookies, I’ve had lots get harder the next day, but not softer. Sometimes I put a piece of bread in the container with the cookies so that they keep their moisture- I wonder if the same would work for your cookies?

  16. Mark Says:

I gotta get some new burritos. The kind I have now are g-r–ooooossssss!

Agent Hangry Pants, using your phone as your secret spy weapon to find new delicious thing to eat. Very sly.

Yummm! Pumpkin and Ginger…The two flavors I love. Sounds like a killer combination….(mouth watering). I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for those.

  21. Joanna Says:

i like burritos, too. my dad eats frozen burritos constantly though. i swear, at any given point in time, there’s at least 10 burritos in his freezer.

i love bean burritos from taco bell. they are damn good.

  22. Holly Says:

That’s hilarious! I totally could have eaten half of my students’ food when I was teaching, too. Although most of what they ate was junk, it sure looked good next to my string cheese/soup lunch.
