She Says: Enjoying the Big Family Love.
I arrived in Rhode Island safe and sound and the gymnastics party was lots of fun!
There was an American Idol cake. It was white and chocolate marble cake.

And cheesy pizza.

After, I went to the mall w/ my mom, dad and sister. On the way home we grabbed Panera where I got the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich on Wheat and an apple, which after posting the link to, I see is quite caloric!!

Then I graduated. Or rather, my dad gave me my my diploma in the kitchen. I now have three post-high school diplomas. I am thinking about a fourth.

I would apologize for my hair, but it was a long day.
It’s nice to be home for the day today! I’ve been enjoying the cable – Big Love last night! I am going to take advantage of the convenient treadmill in a bit, do some baking for my family and then go to the school where I student taught to visit the kids. My last day of student teaching was cancelled because of a snow storm, so we never got a real good bye. I am excited to see them because I miss them so much! Then it’s back on the road for me!
Have a good Monday morning everyone!

Love the graduation!
The cake and pizza brought back childhood memories of kid birthday parties!
January 26th, 2009 at 10:01 am
Congrats, graduate
Where’s your mortarboard?
I LOVE that panera sandwich. If you do the pick 2 with soup and half a veggie sandwich, it’s actually not that bad calorie-wise.
Have a safe drive!

white and chocolate marble cake? cheesy pizza? and Panera?….they all look soooo good!
I agree with Heather, I don’t think the sammie is that bad calorically or nutritionally… it had some healthy fats in there =P
January 26th, 2009 at 10:20 am
Wow! that’s pretty awesome all of those degrees
i love talking to people in their professions who had the winding road path. they always have the most interesting perspective.
January 26th, 2009 at 10:23 am
I think the sandwich is a pretty sensible choice for eating out. Glad you had such a fun time! I make my mom TV some of my former favorite cable shows so I can catch up when I go visit now that I’m cableless.

That cake reminds me of when I was a kid I would get the worst blue teeth from that frosting! Of course I loved it though!

I don’t think the sandwich is bad nutritionally either. I was just kind of surprised when I inserted the link to see the number. I will still eat it probably every time I go to Panera.

HAHAH American Idol Cake. When Gracie was 2, my dad taught her to say that she wanted a Sanjaya American Idol Party. I was going to make a Ponyhawk Cake. But then I decided not to traumatize her for life and went with Dora instead.
Congratulations on your graduation =)

January 26th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
I had that sandwich today for lunch and I thought I was doing good. I am so disappointed. At least I didn’t eat their cookies, now they MUST be bad because they taste too good.
Congrats on the diploma. Remember to be proud of all you have accomplished.
January 26th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
I hate when something has really healthy ingredients but can be a lot higher in calories than you’d think. Looks so good though, can’t go wrong w/ Panera. And you look great!
January 26th, 2009 at 4:32 pm

I’m surprised the sammie was high in calories as it looks like it’s packed with all greens. Your dad is cute – I loved that chip video when you posted it last. So funny. I’m glad you got to see your kids for an official goodbye. Have a good week Heather!

I love marble cake–even had it for my wedding cake.
The Lemonator, who is German, refers to it as “zebrakuchen” which sounds much more exciting.
January 27th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
