She Says: Inquire and Receive
Guess what? Mark’s mom reads the blog and gave us an old spice rack plus some cinnamon, chilli powder and other goodies! Yay. Now I can get small amounts of different spices from bulk bins!

Pre-spice rack I made Mark and I dinner. Mark eats a lot so I am getting used to figuring out how much to cook for both of us so there is enough, but not too many leftovers. I always feel badly wasting food and don’t want to each the leftovers just because they’re there.
Anyway, for din din I made some tofu with mustard/smoked paprika sauce, sweet potato fries (no kethcup yet!) and a mix of spinach, zucchini, onions, garlic and tomatoes.

Then Mark gave me an old school T.V. antenna so I could set up a T.V.! Oh I how I missed you. All week my only T.V. access was at the gym. Tonight I watched the Biggest Loser. Was it jut me or were these people far more emotional than contestants in years past?
I also enjoyed some great tea my lil’ bro gave me.

Goodnight everyone!

Heather! i have missed your posts sooooomuch, it feels great to be back. Yay for the rack and tv-essential.
THat tea looks so heavenly!
Hooray for the spice rack indeed! That is fantastic and I recorded but havent watched the season premier of BL yet…
Jeff eats alot too… sometimes i stare at him in awe.
Love the awesome spice rack! How fantastic!
Looks like your spice problem is solved! The Biggest Loser contestants were quite emotional. I couldn’t believe how that one man just dropped like he did! I’m glad he came through with a good loss after going through that!
It’s kind of shocking how much guys can eat, right? And they don’t even think about it…
Hello! I found your blog through someone else’s, but now I can’t remember whose it was!
I really want to try cooking tofu/eating meals with tofu, but a few people have me convinced it’s gross. Any tips?
I love buying bulk spices! I keep mine in baby food jars. It’s so much cheaper to get them from the bins.
I’m drinking white tea tonight too
I’ve always wanted one of those spice racks!
I agree about the BL today. The whole show just seemed a bit more dramatic!
Yay, someone else who watches bad reality TV. Haven’t watched it yet, but I know I will be up too late trying to get it in!
Glad you got the spice prob solved!
Hurray for the spice rack! Bring on the seasoned food!
OMG yes, the BL contestants were quite emotional… it was an interesting show though!
Hooray for the spices
I’ll be interested to see how you use them because I could learn a thing or two: my spice limit is cinnamon, garlic, and hot sauce (the last two definitely are not spices haha).
haha. It is always fun to cook for guys! Changes your whole concept of what is enough food! Hooray for the spices! How sweet!
Love having a spice rack–ours doesn’t have chili powder either
Looks like some nice, fancy tea!
Hooray for the gift of spices!
LOOOOVELY spice rack!!
So cool you got the spice rack from Mark’s mom!!
Props to Mark’s mom! That is so sweet – definitely helps out your budget.
I have the same tea in my cabinet. Mumm.
YES they were way more emotional, oh my. i only half watched that opening show. i am ready for it to get more on track, they are all over the place. i just want to see the contestants work with bob-jillian and the challenges and the changes….. why did they send so many people home already??? bahhh. hehehehe.
Oh man! I have been wanting a spice rack too! I was looking at them the other day, but then decided not to buy it! haha.
Glad I could be of help w/the spices.
I watched the BL last night for the first time! I did not want to get hooked but it looks like I will have to check it out again. It made me “almost” wanting to exericse more.
Yay for the spice rack! That was very nice of Mark’s Mom.
I love my spics rack that we got as an engagement gift off of our registry.
I also watch the BL. I really like that show. Yes, they were emotional. It was scary when that one guy went down. yikes.

I like crisp tofu, so the key is getting all the liquid out, cutting it small and baking for a long time. It’s really good!
Oh very nice spice rack, that’s on my list of things I need to get.
I spoke to my boyfriend last night about the certificate and he said his suggestion to you would be to go ahead and get the subbing cert it’s a lot to put out at one time but in most districts 2 to 3 days of subbing and it’ll be paid for. I think i worded my comment wrong yesterday, when i said his school submitted him for certification I meant the university he graduated from requested a mass cert for all that graduated. He said he kinda remembers them saying without doing it that way it could take up to 6 months to get the teaching cert. He also said to call the education department in Trenton and they should really be able to help you. Let me know if you have anything you want me to ask him, he just graduated like 6 months ago so he just recently went through it all.
I love it when parents come to the rescue!
Yeah Mark’s mom!
I get kind of jealous of muscular boys who can pack it in.
Very cool of Mark’s mom. I love the Biggest Loser and I agree with you they seemed very emotional last night, and I was shocked that Jerry was deemed fit for the show – that was a terrifying beginning for him.
LOVE the spice rack!
I watched the Biggest Loser, too. I would have to agree with you…and they seems bigger this season, too! I mean….360lbs? Good Lord. It’ll be an interesting season, for sure!
oh lucky you!! especially with the tv – cable is so pricey that I just read terrible books (twilight) to blog out. although today at the dentist there was a television propped up next to the exam chair so I could watch the “today” show while getting my teeth cleaned. that? was amazing.
Definitely agree that BL was more emotional – like stop all the crying people! They sent so many home though!
your dinner looks amazing!
yay for a spice rack!! i wish i knew what to do with spices and herbs and such. hopefully it will inspire some new, yummy meals
I still haven’t figured out how much to make for me and D, sometimes he eats like a horse other times he just doesn’t eat…very annoyinig to plan around, but oh well!
How sweet of Mark’s mom! Your tofu looks excellent, and I’m glad you now have TV in your apt…but you must get some ketchup. I would die without my big bottle of Annie’s!
Mothers are the best for stuff like that!!
YAY for TV!!
What great gifts! I have a spice rack and I LOVE it! Getting spices in bulk reduces your trash, too.
cute rack and tea pot, (that could sound dirty) lol…cant wait to go home and watch the biggest loser, I DVRD it last night!
Love your spice rack!
Great spice rack! You will have lots of fun with it.
whoo hoo for a new spice rack!
those sweet potato fries look heavenly
have a great night
I am so addicted to BL… It was certainly an interesting beginning of the season. I can’t wait to see what twists lie ahead.
