She Says: Sigg Bottle Update

If you were with me in the early days you know I have a Sigg Bottle with a few dents. Perhaps you don’t remember and need to refresh your memory. Today, I got a new bruise, which is usually not newsworthy, but it “broke the skin” and I now think water may start leaking from the bottom. This dent is the result of me carrying way too much stuff in my hands and it falling into the street. Boo hoo. Woe is me.

Some lunchy lunchy and snacks.

Mixed Brown Bread w/ Dijon Mustard, Zucchini and Muenster Cheese.

Carrots and Trader Joe’s BBQ Sauce, which I was really eating by squeezing the bottle and dunking the carrots right in the top until I remembered, “I am a lady.”

Then I went to the gym and ran (5.2 miles/45 minutes) and did various leg machines. Completely uneventful and uninspiring.

Tonight Mark has a big fancy meeting in NYC so I think I am going to hitch a ride so we can do something wild and crazy (aka get Tasti Dlite) after.

Have a fab night!

  6. Sarah W. Says:

I use nutridiary.com to track my calories/carb/protein etc.

I try to stick to a general range of 100-250g obviously the lower end of that is prefered on my rest days, and higher when I’m running & lifting weights :)

    Hope this helps!!

NYC!! cant wait to see where you went. believe it or not, i just read your (additional) about me, and i gotta say – you are an amzing girl. so honest about your life and the struggle in your decisions. isnt it weird how (regardless of how secure we are/were with ourselves) society can still seep its way into our mindset, and mess with how we feel. what we should want, what we should feel like, what we should look like. its so refreshing to hear about a strong woman who followed her heart and made a difficult decision that may have seemingly gone against what society deems as a “normal” career progression. bravo to you. truly inspiring.

  19. Meg Says:

That brown bread looks so yummy!

  20. Laura Says:

But oh wow, that sandwich looks amazing!

  24. Kristie Says:

Ohh poor Sigg. Time for a new one perhaps?

I totally just dunk my foods straight into the bottles. Who needs plates, really now. Lady schmady.

Enjoy that wild and crazy Tasti Dlite ;)

  25. Heather McD (Heather Eats Almond Butter) Says:

    Hey Heather,
Hope you got some Tasti D’lite…you crazy kid!

Bummer about the Sigg bottle. I thought those were indestructible. Guess not, huh? I’ve been eyeing one over at REI. I know I’ll get one next time I go in there. I kind of have to avoid that store. REI is to me what Target is to most women. Love that place!

Ha – I had TJ’s BBQ sauce with my dinner as well. I was a perfectly behaved “lady” until I licked up the last bit off my finger. :)

Just read your “burger pancake” post from earlier. Sweet potatoes and caramelized onions – I bet that tasted so good!

    Have a good weekend.

  26. Elizabeth (thelongweigh) Says:

Sorry about the Sigg! I’m not sure about BBQ sauce and carrots though.. that I may not have the guts to try. :)

  27. Lee (seelivelee) Says:

    hangry and the city!!

    love it.

  28. eatingbender Says:

I need that mixed brown bread :)

Ok, I was just checking Google Reader and one of your posts doesn’t show up anymore. I was going to say that the Honest Foods bar looks so good! I still have one with the old packaging at home that I have yet to crack open. Perhaps I will this week!

  29. Josh Says:

Don’t worry about the SIGG. The aluminium at the base it rather thick. Those bottles are tough, and I mean tough! Go to Google and type in ‘Sigg cannon golf ball’. It shouldn’t leak, we used to fill aluminium cans with water and throw them onto pavement without them puncturing!

  30. home ab exercises Says:
