Hey Everyone! We’re here with some very exciting Top Chef news.

First, have you heard about the Bravo TV and Quaker Oats Viewer Quickfire Challenge? You can submit an original Quaker Oats recipe during the month of February. In March, visitors to BravoTV.com will vote to select the three finalists who will travel to New York City and go head-to-head in the first-ever Quaker Oats Viewer Quickfire Challenge. Check out the official rules for more information. We know there is a ton of talent among the Hangry Pants readers.Someone has to win, so why shouldn’t it be you?

Second, in what is definitely the most exciting thing that we’ve been able to do with Hangry Pants, we’ve been invited to interview Stephanie Izard, winner of Top Chef Season 4!!!

How freaking cool. I briefly talked to her in chicago a few months ago about school. She is very nice!

  2. So exciting!!! I have no idea what I want to ask her…will be thinking of a question and a Quaker Oats recipe!

  3. 3 emily says:

how fun! how did you get a chance to do that interview?

  4. 4 Heather says:

so exciting!!! i want to know what 5 ingredients she always had stocked, and what she makes for dinner when she only wants to spend 10-15 minutes in the kitchen.

    love her!

i also want to know if she thought those diet dr. pepper commercials during TC were totally lame… but i’m thinking she won’t answer that one ;) she kinda looked like she didn’t want to be there ;)

  5. 5 Sharon says:

Oh my gosh, so awesome! I really don’t know what to ask her! But i’ll think of something!

  6. Come on people! Think of some questions already!

How about, “What was your favorite challenge from your season?”

“If you could come up with your own quickfire challenge what would it be?”

“Who was your favorite judge, guest or regular, and why?”

“If asked, would you go back for a Top Chef All Star competition?”

“What was the best thing/worst thing about being on a reality show?”

“What was the funniest thing that happened during your season that we didn’t get to see?”

I’ve got a million more questions, if you want ;)

  7. 7 Marianne says:

Very cool that you get to interview a Top Chef winner! Unfortunately, I don’t think I watched much of that season, so I really have no questions. But I’m looking forward to your interview :D

  8. 8 MizFit says:

she is AWESOME and Im not a huge TF Fan (not a lot of tv time so it ends up recorded and waiting).

I was able to meet her at the quaker weekend in chicago.

    CONGRATS ON THE INTERVIEW!!

  9. 9 VeggieGirl says:

OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!!! I’M A TOP CHEF FANATIC!!!

**Ask her if there was any challenge (either quick-fire or elimination) that she wishes she could do over.

  10. 10 Sarah says:

“What’s your favorite thing to cook?”

“What do you love to eat, but hate to cook?”

“Was what they aired an accurate representation of what went on throughout the season?”

  11. 11 Mara says:

OMG!! I love Stephanie!! Apparently, my sister’s friend was dating her at one point during the show…

  12. 12 K says:

    Oh my gosh!! That’s AMAZING!

  13. 13 Biz says:

Wow, that’s amazing! My sisters niece is actually writing a cookbook with Stephanie – the niece is a pastry chef and is writing the dessert portion of the cookbook!

“if you could only eat one meal, what would it be??”

  14. 14 Bridget says:

So fun!! I actually saw that email to be able to do an interview with her too…but I totally chickened out! I don’t know what I would say…to nervous. But its AWESOME that you are doing it…I can’t wait to see it!

  15. 15 elise says:

ask her if she thinks she could beat Tom!

    happy weekend

  16. 16 Heather's Bestie and Cookie Recipient! says:

Wow! I loved Stephanie! I would like to know what it’s like living/working in a world dominated by men. Being a teacher, we have the exact opposite experience, so I wonder if she gets intimidated or feels inferior in some way. I truly hope not, especially after she has earned the title/honor of Top Chef, but I still wonder. Does she feel the presence of a glass ceiling or anything?

Also, how has winning Top Chef effected her career?

  17. 17 Kate says:

OMG!!! That is AWESOME. I would be really curious if she tastes everything she cooks, and does she keep up any sort of fitness routine at all??? Lastly, what is her favorite thing to cook vs. favorite thing to eat!

  18. 18 bobbi says:

how cool is this! I am actully watching TC right now…lol

  19. 19 Rose says:

I am interviewing her on Monday too! Maybe we should talk beforehand so we don’t ask the same questions?

  20. wow, that’s awesome — congrats!

I’ve never actually seen top chef! can i admit that? i don’t have cable :-/

  21. 21 eatingbender says:

Wow, that’s incredible! Congratulations, Hangry Pants! I can’t think of a good question off the top of my head…but remind me later and I’ll do my best to think about it in the meantime, haha.

  22. 22 ttfn300 says:

ooh, love her :) what’s her favorite meal?

  23. 23 Lauren says:

    Awesome!

    Q for Stephanie:

“If you had to pick a “last meal”, what would it be”?
