She Says: Stoplight Bowls!
This afternoon, Mark and I ran some errands and did some shopping. A few months ago I expressed my love for Fiestaware. Today I added two more small bowls to my collection, for a grand total of 3 mini bowls. Best part was that I had a $10 coupon and they were 30% off, so I only paid $.50 for them! With the old green bowl I bought in January, I now have Stoplight Bowls!
Their vibrant colors are joyful!
Backing up …
When I got back from GOTR this morning I had a piece of wheat bread and peanut butter. I needed to go to the gym for some ellipiticizing and needed some fuel.
I love that I’ve been able to embrace running outdoors, but due to the fact that I do not have cable at home, I miss my gym cable time. This afternoon I was able to zone out on the elliptical while watching The Real House Wives of New Jersey. I’ve been living in N.J. for almost 5 months and I am still learning about the culture and people. Sometimes I feel like an alien here! I personally do not know anyone who owns a tanning bed, but it does not seem impossible to me either. So far my favorite line is, “Her heart is as big as her boobies.”
When I got home from the gym, Mark and I had lunch. I had leftovers from last night’s Chickpea Taco Salads and with a wrap cut in triangles and Dijon Mustard on top.
We shared some blackberries and kiwis. Definitely liking the kiwis a lot more now that they are getting more ripe. And the blackberries are beyond wonderfully sweet and I had to grab a few more from the carton!
I also finally had some solid Strawberry Sorbet. So, here’s the deal with the Sorbet. It tastes absolutely fabulous, but is hard to get out and eat while maintaining its solid consistency. I followed a recipe from Apples for Jam, but I used Agave Nectar in place of white sugar. I liked the recipe because you do not need an ice cream maker to prepare it. I really love the flavor and will probably be incorporating it in smoothies and having it with yogurt.
When I checked the mail a little while later I found some samples from Adora, which I learned about from Tina. I was super excited because I love them and ate them quite a bit when I was living at home and my mom bought the groceries.
Adora Calcium is an all-natural chocolate calcium supplement with 500 mgs calcium and I00 IU vitamin D. They sent over some of their “On the Go” Packs, which are three disks packaged together.
And as an added bonus, if you will get $4 off your order at the Adora Online Store with the discount code “afriend.” So if you’ve been wanting to try them, now is the perfect time! I’ve also seen them at Whole Foods and GNC.
Have a great night! Mark and I had a Whole Foods Dinner, which I will share tomorrow, and are waiting for SNL. See ya tomorrow.

those blackberrys look amazing! And I think I’ll have to pick up some kiwi too after seeing that one.
Real housewifes of NJ was a riot. I don’t think most people are like that but man, they are hysterical! So uber stereotypical.

Born and raised in NJ and I still don’t get it. Although, I grew up on the Shore, north Jerseyians are A LOT different. We were more chill (beach life) then guido..lol..none of the guys I grew up with slicked their hair or poped their collars..oh and I did tan for years, but I swear we weren’t tacky.

So your WF nail polish post was in my reader, and then I go to comment and get this?! Um…okay.
I’m glad you saved your Kombucha money for bowls.
I’m also glad that my heart is ever so much bigger than my boobies.
I was also hoping “Mom”’s comment would have something to do with wedding registry.

i like sarah was going to comment on the other post that is gone
i was thinking maybe you got worried about angering a possible Summit sponsor? anyway, i love fiestaware! and i always see the kombucha but don’t really have much desire to try it.
finally, i am not sure how i feel about ‘taste everything, eat nothing.’ i feel the most unsatisfied when i do the ‘taste’ thing. plus, active women are SUPPOSED to eat, not just taste. i understand that for bethenny it might be hard when life is one long whirlwind of parties and engagements with food, but for the rest of us making healthy choices the majority of the time and being reasonable about things should be enough, right?

Hurray for new bowls!!! I’m sort of excited to move home and have so many new plates and bowls to take pictures of my food in. HA only something a food blogger would think about. I can’t imagine actually admitting that to some of my friends- granted most of them don’t know about the blog anyway!
I love the way you eat Heather!! You always have great variety and fun and new healthy choices. Your blog is definitely one of the ones that inspires me to be creative!!
HAPPY SUNDAY!

I was born and raised in NJ. I moved down south 3 years ago and it is quite different than what I was used to. Unfortunately, I did know someone who owned a tanning bed…*sighs*
