She Says: Back to Running & Action Plan Twenty Ten – Part III
Yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and get back to running. I figured doing it before the New Year made it less dramatic, if that makes any sense. You might recall that right before I broke my foot I’d slowed down my running a bit because in training for the Jersey City Half Marathon I started having problems with my right hip. I am hopeful that a forced two month hiatus from running helped that heal!
Alright, so I hit the treadmill yesterday and vowed to take it slow and be patient with myself. It was extremely difficult, and I actually wondered if it was possible for my heart to come out of my chest. Of course I loved it and was pleased that I was able to run 2 miles in 20 minutes. Perhaps I could have pushed to do more, but I didn’t feel the need. Taking it slow. Real slow.
Last night I helped Lindsay out by testing another recipe. I was super excited to try this one because of the particular spice combination. It’s rare that have all the spices for such a dish on-hand, but I did! Anyway, Lindsay’s recipe was delicious – light, but still flavorful and satisfying.
Close up on those chick peas.
Action Plan Twenty Ten- Part III
And here we are with the next installment.

Problem: I would like to improve my blog by making it more focused, easier to navigate and attractive. Sometimes I feel like I have nothing to say, and while I do not feel pressured to post every day or about certain things, I do want to continue working on what I’ve done and want to be successful.
-
Get a new layout. Figure out what I like about other blogs and what I want my ideal blog to look like, and then get someone to design it for me.
-
Continue writing about topics that interest me and take prettier pictures with my new camera. I want to be 100% proud of every post I publish rather than publish something just to have another post.
-
Continue to explore more writing opportunities.
-
Stay involved in the blogging community.
