Meet Hangry Pants

Hangry Pants evolved from Mark’s decision to abstain from meat for 30 days, Heather’s interest in food and their mutual love for the internet. We created this “healthy living blog” to chronicle the steps of our various food experiments, Meatless Month being our first. One year later and many challenges under our belt, we still enjoy talking about food and fitness and how we find a healthy balance in our own lives. We aim to show that you do not need to be perfectly healthy all of the time to be a perfectly healthy person!

Hangry Pants Experiments

(1) The Meatless Month: 30 days without meat or fish (7/28/08 – 8/26/08).

(2) High Fructose Corn Syrup Awareness Month: Learn about HFCS while avoiding it at all costs (9/08).

(3) Back to Basics Month: Mark prepares his own food 4/7 days of the week; Heather eats less food like substances. (Oct. 20-Nov. 20th).

(4) Hangry Pants Food Drive: We contribute 10 cents per comment on this post toward buying food for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. (December 2008)

(5) Food Shopping on a Budget: We’re buying food for two now and need to do it for as little as possible without compromising quality. (January 2009)

(6) Raw Foods Month: During this month we try to learn more about the raw foods diet and incorporate more raw meals into our lives (Feb. – March 2009)

(7) Break the Habit: Heather stops biting her nails and earns a manicure. Mark is already perfect. (May 2009)
