Gluten Free Month

Back in the summer of 2008 Mark and I started this blog after Mark called me and said, “Heather, I want to try to do 1 month without meat and I want to blog about it.” And so Hangry Pantslaunched with our Meatless Month.

For the next several months, we did several more 30 day challenges – Back to Basics, The Cleaner Life Month, etc. We haven’t done a 30-day challenge in a while because there was really nothing either of us wanted to do.

Well, that changed a couple of weeks ago when I decided I wanted to try a new gluten-free month. I hope you will head over to my post on the Attune Foods website to read more about why I am doing this challenge and what I hope to gain from it!

I’ll miss you.

Before you go, I just want to tell you I am not doing this because …

  • After 30 years, I believe I suddenly developed a serious allergy to gluten/Celiac Disease.
  • I think gluten is inherently bad for me.
  • I want to lose weight.

I know “gluten-free” is a current buzz phrase/diet trend, and believe me when I say I am just as skeptical as you. I just want to try it out, see what it’s like to be gluten-free in our society, and see what happens over the next thirty days!

The 30 days start tomorrow! I’ll be shedding a tear for bread later tonight.

The comments on this post are closed, but head over to my Attune post and let me know if you have anything you specifically want me to address during my month-long experiment or if you have any gluten-free tips!
